Impact Huller

Gentle hulling of grain with firmly attached husks

Impact dehullers are used for mechanical hulling of grain and other food raw materials where the husk or shell is firmly attached to the kernel. Typical applications include oats, spelt, sunflower kernels and similar products.

Hulling by controlled impact

The product is fed through the inlet pipe onto a conical impeller. An integrated, adjustable dosing system ensures uniform product distribution.

Inside the impeller, the product is aligned and accelerated. The speed can be continuously adjusted via frequency inverter according to product and required hulling result.

The product then hits the cylindrical impact ring at a defined angle. Through this controlled impact, the husk or shell is gently loosened from the kernel. The conical design of the impeller supports efficient product guidance and a high hulling effect.

Adjustable hulling intensity

Depending on raw material, moisture content, required hulling degree and desired product quality, the hulling intensity can be adjusted. The continuously variable impeller speed allows flexible process control.

Robust design, easy to maintain

The impact ring is height-adjustable. This allows wear to be distributed more evenly across the ring surface and extends the service life of the hulling ring. Adjustment is carried out via a mechanism with lubricant-free plastic bearings.

The impact ring can be replaced without additional tools. This reduces downtime during maintenance and wear part replacement.

Exposed areas of the machine are protected by exchangeable wear plates. The robust housing is designed for industrial use in hulling and food processing plants.
