For trials, development and small batches
In laboratory and test operation, reproducible results, simple handling and flexible recipe adjustment are essential. The units allow practical tests with small seed quantities before processes are transferred to larger production machines.
Applications
- research and seed breeding
- treatment trials with new recipes
- testing of different liquids, powders and additives
- coating and pelleting experiments
- small batches for trial purposes
- quality control and comparison trials
- preparation for later production processes
Transferable results for production
Lab treaters support the development of processes that can later be transferred to production machines. Recipes, application rates, homogeneity and process parameters can therefore be evaluated on a small scale.
Gentle and uniform seed treatment
Even on a small scale, uniform seed coating is essential. Lab units are therefore designed to apply chemical liquids, coatings or additional components to the seed in a controlled and reproducible way. This makes it possible to evaluate treatment results, product behavior and process stability under practical conditions.

Patented Magazine Treater for 12-chamber magazines
The Niklas magazine treater was developed specifically for very small seed quantities, seed breeding and application trials. It enables fully automatic treatment of 12-chamber magazines and is particularly suitable for trials where several samples must be treated reproducibly and without cross-contamination.
The machine achieves homogeneous seed coating and very good seed-to-seed distribution even with very small quantities of approx. 25 to 250 grains per chamber. Flexible paddles support gentle seed handling. Seed sensors ensure that treatment product is only applied where seed is present in the respective chamber. One blow-out nozzle in each chamber helps prevent seed mixing and supports clean, separated treatment of individual samples.
The magazine treater can either be filled directly with seed or loaded with pre-filled magazines. Pump runtime, post-mixing time, discharge time and number of blow-outs can be controlled via touch display.
