Flexible air and heat concepts for different drying systems
The quality and efficiency of a drying process depend largely on the right drying air. In addition to temperature and air volume, air humidity, recirculation rate, exhaust air management, energy source and control technology all play an important role.
We combine drying systems with suitable hot air, dehumidification and air distribution concepts – matched to product, location, available energy sources and required drying performance.
Different energy sources and systems
Depending on the application, different solutions can be used:
- direct or indirect hot air generation with gas or oil
- renewable heat generation, for example wood chips or wood pellets
- use of waste heat
- solar or under-roof preheating
- dehumidifier heat pumps
- fresh air systems
- recirculation air systems
- combined fresh air / recirculation air systems
- exhaust air and humidity control
This allows a technically and economically suitable concept to be developed for each drying task.
Dehumidifier heat pumps
Dehumidifier heat pumps dry the process air by removing moisture and heat. The extracted energy is then returned to the air. This creates dry and heated air, which is supplied to the product.
This technology is particularly suitable when weather-independent, energy-efficient and controlled drying is required. With air capacities from 10,000 to 150,000 m³/h, dehumidifier heat pumps can be used for a wide range of drying systems.
Fresh air, recirculation air and combined systems
Depending on the process, drying can be operated with fresh air, recirculation air or a combination of both. Fresh air systems are suitable for simple and robust applications. Recirculation air or combined fresh air / recirculation air systems can improve energy efficiency and condition the process air more precisely.
Control and sensors
For stable drying results, our drying air systems can be equipped with sensors and automation.
- temperature and humidity sensors
- air volume measurement
- differential pressure measurement
- frequency inverters for fans
- PLC control
- touch panel visualization
- automatic fresh air / recirculation air flaps
- remote monitoring and remote service
