Flexible drying for seed, specialty crops and larger product batches
Depending on product, container system and required drying capacity, we design modular box or container drying systems with individually configured air distribution, hot air generation, control technology and optional product mixing. It is used wherever seed, herbs, specialty crops or other sensitive agricultural products need to be dried in a controlled, gentle and batch-wise process.
Modular box drying
Box drying systems are individually adapted to box sizes, required drying capacity and process workflows. Depending on requirements, different row lengths, module sizes and tier concepts are possible. Later expansion of the system can also be taken into account.
- modular design
- adaptation to existing box sizes
- flexible number and length of box rows
- 1, 2 or 3 box tiers arranged above each other
- individual control for each module
- possibility of later expansion
- no floor installations such as concrete ducts or pits required
Container drying
Container drying systems can be equipped with suitable air ducts, fans, hot air generation, sensors and control technology. For certain products, agitators can also be integrated to move the product during the process and support more uniform drying.
- drying of larger batches in containers or bins
- individually designed air distribution
- suitable for soybeans and other agricultural products
- optional agitators for product mixing
- combination with fresh air, recirculation air or dehumidification systems
- integration of temperature, humidity and air volume sensors
- automation via PLC control and touch panel possible
Individual control of air, temperature and drying time
For perfect drying results, air volume, temperature, air humidity and drying time must be matched to the product and container system. The systems can therefore be equipped with individual control of hot air temperature, drying and cooling time, and air volume for each module.
- temperature measurement
- humidity measurement
- exhaust air humidity or exhaust air temperature measurement
- air volume control
- cooling phases after drying
- automatic program sequences
- visualization via touch panel
- digital large displays for actual temperatures
Flexible hot air generation and air conditioning
Depending on site, available energy sources and process target, hot air can be generated or conditioned in different ways. Both conventional and energy-efficient or renewable concepts are possible.
- gas or oil heating
- wood chip or wood pellet heating
- use of existing waste heat
- solar or under-roof preheating
- dehumidifier heat pumps
- fresh air operation
- recirculation air operation
- combined fresh air / recirculation air systems
Technical modules
For certain applications, the drying technology can also be supplied as a pre-assembled technical module in a container. In this case, dehumidifier heat pump, fan, sensors, controls and air connections are combined in one compact unit.
Depending on the configuration, these technical containers can be designed as fresh air systems or as combined fresh air / recirculation air systems.
Integration
Box and container drying systems are planned project-specifically and integrated into the complete plant. Depending on the task, we combine drying positions, air ducts, fans, hot air generation, air dehumidification, recirculation systems, sensors, controls and conveying technology into one coordinated solution.
- product and moisture content
- box or container dimensions
- required drying capacity
- available energy sources
- existing buildings and available space
- degree of automation
- future expansion possibilities
