For sensitive seed types and coated products
They are particularly suitable after seed treating, coating, encrusting or pelleting processes when defined seed quantities need to be dried in a controlled and reproducible way. Batch operation allows the drying time to be freely adjusted and precisely matched to product, moisture content, coating and required drying result.
The batch dryer is suitable for many seed types and specialty crops. Especially for high-value seed lots, uniform and gentle drying is essential to preserve germination rates, kernel quality and further processability.
Defined drying in batch operation
Unlike continuous drying systems, the batch dryer takes in a defined product quantity, dries it and then discharges it completely. The freely adjustable drying time enables precise adaptation to the respective product and previous treatment process.
This offers advantages for
- changing products
- different recipes
- varying moisture contents
- sensitive seed types
- small to medium product quantities
- applications with precisely defined drying time
Uniform warm air distribution across the drying surface
The product is moved evenly in the drying chamber by vibration. A special drying deck ensures optimum hot air distribution across the entire drying surface. Hot air enters the drying chamber from below, while exhaust air is discharged via a connection at the top. This creates uniform air flow through the product and a homogeneous drying process.
This supports
- uniform drying of the entire batch
- reduced tendency to stick
- gentle product movement
- controlled hot air guidance
- reproducible drying results
Residue free discharge and easy cleaning
The residue-free drying chamber design supports clean product handling. For fast and complete discharge, the machine can be tilted towards the outlet by pneumatic air bellows. A hinged maintenance cover with inspection windows enables easy cleaning, good accessibility and visual control of the drying process.
This is particularly important when products or recipes are changed frequently.
