Screw Conveyors

Robust conveyors for bulk materials

Screw conveyors are used for conveying, dosing and discharging dry, free-flowing bulk materials. Depending on the application, tubular screw conveyors, trough screw conveyors or multiple-screw discharge units can be used.

Tubular and trough screw conveyors

Tubular and trough screw conveyors are compact and robust conveying systems for horizontal or slightly inclined conveying routes. They are particularly suitable for side streams, by-products and products where a certain level of mechanical stress is acceptable.

Typical applications include

  • conveying of rejects in seed processing plants
  • intake, conveying, metering and transfer operations
  • transport of dust and light particles from the aspiration system

Depending on the execution, tubular and trough screw conveyors can be adapted to product, conveying capacity, installation situation and material requirements.

Multiple-screw discharge units

Multiple-screw discharge units are mainly used in intake areas, for example below bulk intake hoppers or box intake systems. Several screws ensure uniform discharge from wide intake or bin areas and enable controlled transfer to the downstream conveying technology.

In combination with a conveyor belt installed below the unit for residual discharge, the multiple-screw discharge unit is also suitable for residue-free product handling.

Description

  • discharge below bulk intake hoppers or intake bins
  • suitable for poor flowing products
  • length, number of screws and screw diameter according to requirements
  • variable conveying and dosing capacity
  • robust steel design
