Heavy-duty coarse cleaning for high throughputs
They remove coarse impurities at an early stage of the product flow and thereby relieve downstream processing equipment.
Typical separations include straw, strings, paper, wood chips, maize husks, coarse foreign material and other oversize particles. This improves process safety, plant availability and product quality right at the beginning of the processing line.
Separation via rotating screen drum
The product is fed into a rotating screen drum. The main product passes through the screen openings, while coarse particles remain in the drum and are discharged separately.
Different screen sizes and drum executions are used depending on product and impurity profile. Before the product outlet, an integrated aspiration system removes dust and fine particles from the product stream.
Two sizes for different capacity ranges
VA 900
The VA 900 is a compact drum scalper for coarse cleaning in the medium capacity range, with capacities up to approx. 150 t/h for heavy grain. It is also suitable for maize, rapeseed, sunflower seed, soybeans, paddy rice and coffee. The VA 900 has a screen area of approx. 4 m² and is equipped with a 1.5 kW motor.
DS 1250
The DS 1250 is designed for very high throughputs of up to approx. 500 t/h for heavy grain and is suitable for high-capacity intake, silo and processing lines. It is equipped with two screen drums, each Ø 1,250 × 1,000 mm, and provides a total screen area of approx. 7.8 m².
