Precise separation by weight, shape and surface characteristics
Paddy separators are used for additional quality separation of pre-cleaned seed, grain and other granular products. They separate materials that are difficult to classify by conventional screening or aspiration alone – for example due to small differences in specific weight, shape or surface characteristics.
A distribution system ensures uniform product feeding into the compartments. Separation takes place on stainless steel decks. Light and heavy fractions are discharged via separate collecting troughs.
Typical applications include the separation of light and heavy kernels, the removal of non-germinating or damaged seeds and the separation of hulled and unhulled products.
Separation tasks:
- separation of seeds with lower and higher specific weight
- removal of partially germinated or non-germinating seed
- separation of hulled and unhulled kernels
- sorting of seed mixtures such as wheat, barley, oats or rye
- separation of stones and soil from soybeans, beans or peanuts
- separation of products with different surface characteristics
Basic design:
- distribution system for uniform feeding into the compartments
- stainless steel decks
- variable speed via frequency inverter
- variable stroke length
- variable deck inclination
- collecting troughs for light and heavy fractions
- robust eccentric drive technology
