Precise separation by specific weight in an upward air stream
Depending on product and task, light particles, husks, dust or kernels with lower density can be separated reliably. This makes the machines suitable for both simple separation tasks and demanding fine sorting applications where differences in specific weight are very small.
Typical applications range from husk separation in hulling lines to fine sorting of seed, for example to remove light kernels and support the improvement of germination rates within a seed lot.
Precise adjustment of product feed, layer height and air volume allows fine adaptation to product, sorting objective and required separation accuracy.
The RPA 120 is the compact lab machine of the series. It was developed for seed breeding, test applications, laboratory use and small-batch production.
With its clear design, low overall height and easy access, it is particularly suitable for trials, product evaluation and frequent batch changes.
Data:
- capacity (wheat): up to 80 kg/h
- drives: 0,4 kW
- air volume: up to 1.000 m³/h
- dimensions (w x d x h): 1.270 x 875 x 2.065 mm
- weight: 250 kg
The RPA 600 is designed for use in seed or food production. Depending on execution, it can be used in batch operation or continuous operation.
The machine is particularly suitable for companies that require high sorting accuracy without using a large-scale production machine. With its wider separation channel and continuous discharge of the light fraction, the RPA 600 is also suitable for production-related applications.
Data:
- capacity (wheat): up to 500 kg/h
- drives: 2,3 kW
- air volume: up to 1.200 m³/h
- dimensions (w x d x h): 1.280 x 1.460 x 2.165 mm
- weight: 550 kg
The RPA 1000 is designed for continuous operation in production lines. With a 1.000 mm wide sifter channel, it enables precise sorting at higher capacities of up to approx. 3 m³/h.
The machine can be used for classic light-particle separation as well as for demanding seed applications with only small differences in specific weight. Depending on execution, the RPA 1000 is available as an exhaust air version, recirculation air version or complete system including cyclone separator, fan, ductwork and control system.
Data:
- capacity (wheat): up to 2,5 t/h
- drives: 5 kW
- air volume: up to 5.000 m³/h
- dimensions (w x d x h): 2.000 x 2.700 x 3.370 mm
- weight: 1.370 kg
Flexible feeding system:
The feed system of the RPA 1000 can be adapted to the process.
When feeding from a running product flow, the feed area is equipped with a feed roller for uniform dosing. In case of a product buffer above the aspirator is equipped with dosing rotary valve and magnetic feeder for uniform dosing over the whole width of the aspiration channel.
Exhaust air and recirculation air versions:
The RPA 1000 can be supplied as an exhaust air or recirculation air system.
In the exhaust air configuration, the light particles are separated by a dust cyclone and discharged via a rotary valve. The clean air is discharged via pipework.
In the recirculating air configuration, > 90% of the clean air is recirculated back into the supply air ducts of the aspiration channel after passing through the cyclone. A small volume of the circulating air is always diverted to the central vacuum system via an additional exhaust connection to keep the dust content at a low level.
Thanks to its precisely adjustable fresh air throttle valves at the bottom end of the aspiration channel, the RPA 1000 can also be configured as a combined machine for alternating exhaust and recirculation operation.
