Exact separation by air flow and deck movement
Gravity separators are especially relevant when products cannot be separated by size or shape alone.
The raw product is evenly distributed across the sorting deck. A controlled air flow fluidizes the product layer: lighter particles move upwards, while heavier particles remain in contact with the deck surface. At the same time, the deck moves with low amplitude and high frequency.
The combination of air flow, deck inclination and vibration separates heavy and light fractions in a controlled and reproducible way. Depending on the application, gravity separators remove light kernels, damaged or immature seeds, foreign seeds, stones or other foreign materials with different specific weight.
Gravity Separators type GA
The GA gravity separators are available in six different sizes – from lab machines to industrial units with capacities of approx. 2.0–15.0 t/h for maize, wheat or soybeans. Separation is adjusted via air volume, deck inclination, eccentric movement and product feed. This allows the machine to be adapted to different products and quality requirements.
Depending on the version, mechanical or digital operating concepts are available, including HMI operation with recipe management and stored settings for air, deck inclination, fan speed and eccentric speed.
